If you are experiencing a loss of specific gears - either a loss of all odd gears (1, 3, 5, 7) or a loss of reverse and all even gears (2, 4, 6), your car may have entered limp mode (emergency mode) to protect the gearbox. This could be because the transmission control unit has lost signals from the sensor that monitors the clutch’s position.
